Notty is a social media network. By definition this means that our users are sharing a significant amount of information about themselves with us. If you, as a user, have any issue with this fact you should not be using Notty.
YOU AND YOUR ACCOUNT
To create an account on Notty you have to share many details about yourself, these include but are not limited to your name, age, gender, email address, phone number, and country of residence.
While using Notty you will share posts which will reveal personal information about yourself. For example, if you post a Notification about your recent surgery, anyone who has the Notty app installed on their phone will have access to this information.
DATA WE COLLECT
Like any social network we collect data, a LOT of data. Any action you take on Notty is likely to be recorded and stored in a database. Clicks, scrolls, time spent on a particular area of the app, the sky is the limit.
But collecting data does NOT mean that we share it with anyone.
HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED
We do not share any personally identifiable data. What we do share is anonymous data about certain behavior. For instance, if an advertiser only wants to advertise to users 35 to 55 years old. Or another good example of this is if someone wants to know how many users on Notty subscribe to Channels that have photography as a topic.
We will never voluntarily share your personal information with anyone. The only exception to this is if we believe that you are involved in criminal activities and are using Notty as part of your criminal activities (which is a violation of our terms of service).
CONTENT YOUR SHARE ON NOTTY
All Posts and Notifications on Notty are public. Which means that if you create content on Notty it becomes visible to anyone who has access to Notty. This means that if you create a Notification your friend, family, teachers, employer (past, current and future) will be able to see it if they find your Channel.
A news outlet, blogger, or fellow Notty user might quote you or publish a screenshot of content you created on Notty.
Before sharing someone on Notty, think twice and make sure what you are sharing is something you feel comfortable sharing to the world. Don’t assume only those who are subscribed to your Channel will see it.
DELETING YOUR DATA
At any time you can request to have your data removed from public view on Notty. The complete deletion of your data from our databases can take up to 3 weeks and is subject to manual review to ensure that you are not deleting content as part of covering up for a crime.
